Peter is the leader of the Lost Boys, a band of boys who were lost by their parents, and came to live in Neverland; it is reported that he “thins them out” when they start to grow up.  Peter appears to be known to all the residents of Neverland, including the Indian princess Tiger Lily and her tribe, the mermaids, and the fairies.  Peter gallantly commandeers the deserted ship, and with the aid of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust, flies it to London with the children aboard.

Hook, the antagonist in the movie, boldly plots to take revenge upon Peter Pan for cutting off his hand, but he trembles when the crocodile that ate it arrives; it now stalks him hoping to taste more.  Hook is still extremely resentful of Peter, and reveals that he served as his valet so he could train him; he wanted Peter to have his own exact feelings, which were passed on to the boy through the old pirate coat.  Hook followed in a similar vein, one whichwould come to include characters such as Cruella DeVil in 101Dalmatians and Madame Mim in The Sword In the Stone.

Tinkerbell the fairy saves Peter from the poison, setting the stage for a final confrontation aboard the pirate ship.  The keynote scene of the entire film is when both Tinkerbell and Captain Hook see Wendy and Peter reenacting the faerie dance, Hook becomes enthralled.  In the original film, there is a scene where Tinkerbell is dying and Peter sings a song to save her, but this scene was taken out in later versions.  I’ve got to say that this film holds up well for me as an adult, never outreaching its grasp, and often exceeding my expectations–even having seen it numerous times as a child, with clever shots and animations (many involving Tinkerbell).

Peter Pan is the final Disney animated feature released through RKO before Walt Disney’s founding of his own distribution company, Buena Vista Distribution, later in 1953 after the film was released.  Peter Pan is also the final Disney film in which all nine members of Disney’s Nine Old Men worked together as directing animators. The bottom line is, this is a must watch film for those who haven’t seen it.

If you love fairy tales, you will love Tinkerbell Movie. Tinkerbell is a 2008 computer animated film based on the Disney Fairies franchise being produced by DisneyToon Studios.  The digitally animated character of Tinker Bell and other fairies appearing in the film were featured in Disney Channel bumpers in which they would draw the channel’s logo with their wands.  

In the movie, when Tinker Bell is born, she discovers that she is destined to be a Tinker fairy; one who invents gadgets to help fairies do their jobs more efficiently, but she is disappointed with her supporting role and yearns for a more impressive job.  Tinker Bell is born from the first laugh of a newborn baby, and is brought by the winds to Pixie Hollow (which is part of the island of Never Land).  She meets the other fairies and learns that her talent is to be a tinker, the fairies that make and fix things.  As you can imagine, Tink’s early time at Pixie Hollow is filled with figuring out who she really is and that she is just as important as the other fairies who have more glamorous talents.  

For the very first time in film, Tinker Bell opens the doors to Pixie Hollow, a secret hideaway deep in the heart of Never Land, where the Disney Fairies make their home.  Pixie Hollow is a land where fairies constantly create and improve upon the beauty of the four seasons and prepare to bring the changing seasons to the mainland.  Tinkerbell is such a cute character as are the other fairies, I sometimes forgot they weren’t real. And of course you know that pixie dust is what lets the fairies accomplish their magic in the world of children.  Tinker Bell, like other fairies, can make it possible for others to fly, by sprinkling them with fairy dust.

As you can imagine, Tink’s early time at Pixie Hollow is filled with figuring out who she really is and that she is just as important as the other fairies who have more glamorous talents.  And within a special place called PIXIE HOLLOW fairies of every talent practice their magical abilities and prepare for the change of seasons.  

I think it’s so cute that Tinkerbell is trailed by small amounts of pixie dust when she moves, and this dust can help humans fly if they believe it will. This movie magic is the kind of thing that allows kids to really use their imagination and explore the fun of being young and carefree.
All in all, tinkerbell movie is outstanding and of course appropriate for all audiences. We enjoyed it so much that it’s now in our video library and is being viewed on a fairly regular basis. We are all looking forward to the sequels to this fantastic movie.

The disney tinkerbell movie was one of the best, cleanest, and non-violent kids’ movies I have seen in a long time. I think it was as good as anything Disney has done in last 15 years.  Disney has captured a world straight out of little girls’ dreams with this new movie. In fact, Disney has already announced plans to follow Tinker Bell with three additional fairy movies.  More to the point, “The tinkerbell movie” is supposed to be the first of a planned quartet of home premieres.

With this newest release, Tinkerbell is back and even better along with her new Fairy friends.  With “The Tinkerbell Movie” (Which is also known as “Tinker Bell and the Ring of Belief”) basically serving as the audience’s introduction to the world of Pixie Hollow.  If you’ve gotten any Disney DVDs recently you’ve likely seen the teaser trailer for the animated movie.

Little girls everywhere can now see their favorite character in her own land and how she came to be the cutest and most inspiring fairy of all.  We all know the spunky little fairy from Peter Pan, Tinker Bell. The bottom line is, this is a must have DVD for your kids’ collection.

meet the Robinson's is one thing because its new!! but all of that little mermaid 3, 4… 23.. its a little much. that movie is way past the time frame for sequels don't ya think?!?
